1st Shots!
McKenzie got her first set of baby shots on Wednesday! It was so tramatic...for mom! McKenzie did great. I gave her a little bit of Infant Tylenol like Kylane said to do before we left and she cried when they poked her but she stopped after about 5 minutes. They gave her three shots and after the first shot I was ready to say "Quit poking my baby" and run. After the third shot it was all I could do not to cry with McKenzie. Why they have to put moms through that I will never understand. Then on top of that they talked me into getting the H1N1 shot and the flu shot, so I got two! They really hurt! But we made it and Brandon let mom have a treat for being a big girl! McKenzie is a sweetie though and she took it so well, no fever or anything...YEAH! Mom is still a little sore!

Hey Hollie!! I am so excited that you have a blog!!! Pretty soon you will be able to just laugh as the nurses are giving your baby shots. TJ is 8 years old and still screams like a little girl and I have to literally lay on top of him and I just laugh...and then it's over!! I have been in your shoes though with JoeLi...she had to have an IV put in when she was 4 weeks old because they were putting her in the hospital with pnemonia and I had to watch as 2 nurses held her down and put in the IV and she was screaming and there was nothing I could do about it. It's hard being a mom sometimes, but I'm sure you are a great one!!!!!!!!!!!
