Updates!

Sorry there are alot of updates.  As soon as I learn how to put multiple pictures up in one of those collage deals then I will post more pictures...but these were all I had the patience to do!

Power House Trail Campout!

Then we went for one last campout before everything gets crazy for the school year.  It was great!  We hiked in on the Power House Trail and camped overnight, went fishing, had great food, played in the water, and had a great time.  McKenzie loved being in the outdoors so much.  She ran everywhere.  We were very proud of her for not messing with the campfire and she knows the word HOT really well.  She also loved the fish, everytime someone caught a fish she wanted to touch it and she would be really upset if they put it back without letting her play with it.  The water was really cold but the kids had a good time in it.  It was a relaxing time...EXCEPT for the hike! HaHa!

Cabin!!

Then it was September and you know what that means....CABIN time!  We just went up Sunday evening and spent one night but it was a lot of fun.  It was great to have Grandma and Grandpa Haymore there again.  We had great food as always, lots of babies, and lots of fun!

San Antonio!

Brandon took us on an amazing family vacation this year.  I had never been on a rollercoaster before and I really wanted to go on one.  So Brandon took us to Six Flags in San Antonio, Texas.  It worked out perfect.  McKenzie was the right age and my parents had just moved to Virden, so they went with us and watched McKenzie while Brandon and I rode coasters.  The first day we were there we did some sight seeing, we went to The Alamo and The Riverwalk.  It was really fun.  We had lunch at the Texas Ranger Museum and it was awesome.  They had really cool wildlife displays and Texas Ranger history.  The Alamo was fun as well.  The next day we went to a Wildlife Reserve.  It was really cool...you drove thru and got to feed all the animals and have them come right up to the car.  We stayed there most of the day!  And then did a little shopping that evening.  The last day we went to Six Flags.  It was probably the most fun I have ever had.  I LOVE rollercoasters.  We went on everything at least twice some of them three times.  McKenzie got to ride a few rides too and she had a blast just watching everyone.  She was such a good little girl!  I just can't say how much I loved that vacation.  So here are some pics!

McKenzie 1st Birthday

I can't believe she is one already.  She is growing too fast.  We had a great time with everyone though.  Aunt Melindy and Uncle Robert sent her this really cute tutu to wear.  Grandma Jones got her some new books that are really cool...touch and feel and lots of animals.  ( which were really needed...I had cuddles the cow memorized and desparately needed new books)  Grandma and Grandpa Hughes got her a really cute princess camp chair.  She got really fun toys from Aunt Bridget, Uncle Jimmie and Aunt Ann.  Plus mom and dad got her a toy that she can ride or push around.  We had a cook out and cake and ice cream.  What a day!
Right before school started and everything got crazy we went to the Cat Walk for a Day!  When we got there it seemed like everyone and their dog had the same idea but it ended up pretty nice.  Dustin, Kylane, Hailey and Tyler came down and we stayed all day.  We had a great time.  Brandon caught this little fish and McKenzie loved it she didn't hesitate to grab it...such a girl!  But she had a great time playing in the water and with Hailey.  It was really fun!

11 Months and Walking!

McKenzie is 11 Months!
It is hard to capture walking when she loves to walk toward you!  But it is so fun!  She loves walking from me to things and then back again.  She could do that all day long!

Irrigating with DAD!!!

Brandon has a new little irrigator!  She loves the water, mud, and critters.  I took her out with Brandon and she loved it!  There were little tadpoles in the ditch and she loved trying to catch them.  She is so cute!

Root Beer Floats!

McKenzie loves Rootbeer Floats, Ice Cream, Milkshakes, etc.  And her daddy loves to give them to her!  She absolutely loves to eat everything now!

4th Of July!!

The 4th was fantastic.  My parents brought down their first load of stuff...they are almost moved in!!! Yeah!  It will be so much fun having everyone here!
We had a great time on the 4th.  We shot fireworks on Friday and had a cookout with my family.  Saturday morning was the Big Virden Breakfast at 6:00 AM.  Then the parade, we took family pictures and then my family had to go.  That night we had a Bar-B-Que with Brandon's family and then watched the fireworks at the school.  Later we watched Rustin and his friends shoot fireworks...a little scary...and ate homemade ice cream.
McKenzie did really well with the fireworks as long as I was holding her.  She loved the watermelon!  My parents brought her a pool and she loved that too!

Lots of pics...Sorry!

We Got A DOG!

Well we got a puppy.  He is the fattest puppy ever!  We named him GusGus off of Cinderella because that is what he reminds me of.  He is just so rolly polly and fat!  McKenzie does love him and can almost say his name...she loves to growl at him.  Sometimes he gets too close or rough and she tries to push him away but he is just so big that he doesn't go anywhere.  The two together remind of the show Clifford the Big Red Dog...except ours is black!  But at least they will grow up together and be good friends.

Uh Oh!!

So about two weeks ago...
Brandon went on a week long scout trip.  They floated down the Gila River with about 20 people.  They had a blast and came back with a ton of funny stories!
McKenzie and I went to Ruidoso to see my parents for the week.  They absolutely loved having her for a whole week.  And while we were there they taught her something new!  She says.."Uh Oh".  It is so cute.  She says it so plain and all the time now!  Her first words!  Brandon says she could rob a bank then turn around and say her cute "Uh Oh" and they would let her go!  It is seriously that cute when she says it.  It was a fun trip and my parents were thrilled that she said her first words and they got to hear them.

So a little update on the princess:   She can stand really well-she still holds onto things though, has tried to let go a couple of times and can usually hold a standing position for about a minute before she falls.
She crawls really well and goes everywhere...she is a very busy little girl
She is very independent and already can throw a fit
Loves to drink out of a cup and eats alot
                                                     Loves to go outside
Loves mirrors and likes to look at the world sideways
                                                     Loves music and to dance
Sleeps really well and sleeps good in a carseat
And is growing more beautiful everyday (a little mom bias there!)

Drinks!

Drinks!
McKenzie loves drinks out of a cup.  She will get so excited when Brandon gets a cup out.  He will pour a little in and she does very good holding it and drinks it all.  I am suprised at how little leaks out.  Then when she is done she looks into the cup...puts her hand down in it to make sure it is all gone...then sweetly hands the cup back to dad with a look that says "MMM More please"!  She is too dang cute!

McKenzie is CRAWLING!!!

I can't believe it! McKenzie is crawling now! It was so exciting to watch her crawl the first few feet! I was so overjoyed at her accomplishment. I know it probably doesn't seem like much but she is just growing so fast! I love watching her. I think I get more excited than she does! This is so fun and just the coolest thing to watch. She is really doing it! YEAH!

The Poppies

We went for a drive one day and got some really cute pictures in the Poppies. This year the poppies were amazing...they were everywhere and the hills looked gold during the day. I learned something new too...poppies close up at night and then pop back out during the day...it was cool! Anyways we had a great drive and McKenzie loved being outside.

Easter 2010!

McKenzie's first Easter! Dustin, Kylane, and Hailey were coming so we got Hailey and McKenzie matching Easter dresses. Brittney and Steven came down and we had a great surprise...Melindy and Robert came!!!! So everyone was here except Trev who is on a mission! It was a great Easter weekend. We had great food and lots of fun.
McKenzie didn't really care about the eggs or the treats...she loved the fake grass! She did look so cute in her Easter dress and Grandma Jones made socks to match both girls dresses.
Conference was amazing this year. What a great boost to help us teach what we need to at home! As Brandon's favorite scripture says..."Now is the time to prepare...". How neat it was to have conference on Easter. We are truly blessed.
