A Day of Nice Weather!!!

It has been so cold recently and McKenzie has been a little under-the-weather so she has been cooped up inside.  Well Friday morning dawn bright, beautiful and warm.  So Brandon and I packed up all of our day-camping gear and took McKenzie on her first Lake Trip!  We went to Bill Evans lake up above Silver City, NM.  It was so much fun.  We weren't sure how she would do because she loves the water and we were afraid we would have to constantly tell her no but she did really good. 
Not 2 minutes out of the car and she was wet from head to toe!  Soaked and Cold!  She was holding on to Brandon's hand and decided that she no longer needed his assistance...she yanked herself away, lost her balance, and went straight into the water.  But I think that did her some good...once we got her dried and in some different clothes she stayed really close.  She loved to get in the water but would only go up to her little socks and stop and play.  She was really cute.  It was a beautiful day and we just played, ate great food, and took long sunny naps.  The fishing wasn't great but it was a relaxing day...which we desparately needed!  Great times!
